Another month away from gigging but here at SoS headquarters it's been GO GO GO

There's been flights all over Europe, adventures around the UK and a new haircut…

We're looking forward to getting settled into some good rehearsal sessions within the next couple of weeks and getting our faces back in front of your lovely faces

Jubilee times…

Well after a VERY busy Jubilee weekend with our first gig out of london and drinking and dancing in the street it's all back to normal at SoS HQ.

We're currently booking up time to get back in the studio and really hone the new sound so we can come out again fighting later on this Summer.

So if you think you might miss us then make sure you come along to our last gig for a little while this Friday

Until then we shall be most listening to these tunes…

BOTB week

We did TWO  Battle Of The Bands last week!

The first was for Eclectic [Sounds Ltd] in central
It was a really fun night, unfortunately we didn't win it but the guys that did were ruddy awesome so it was very much deserved. Check their videos out by clicking on the Eclectic link above.

The second battle was at The Finsbury pub, another fun night and a great venue. The other bands were awesome, not quite sure what the outcome was but it's safe to say it was THE hottest stage on Earth!

Now looking forward to our gig this weekend as we head to Kent to make some noise at a Jubilee Beer Festival [lots of awesome craft beers YEAH] if you're in the area come along!

been a while…

As you know we've been busy doing the usual gigging, recording, promoting, writing and drinking… and it feels like we haven't shared any of that with you in AGES

Recording times at Dental Record…

What a productive sunny weekend… despite spending it almost entirely in a basement!

We were BROKEN but we were READY.
We managed to turn up bright and early on Saturday morning to lay down some tunage with DENTAL RECORDS [they do a lot of awesome work across music/video/media so do check them out]

The studio space was amazing, all the guys there were ruddy lovely and there was a good little italian restaurant just round the corner so we were well happy

Now it's all down to the mix, can't wait to hear what they come up with 'CITING… as soon as we have them all sorted you'll be the first to know, so keep your ears peeled!

They compared us to QOTSA and Black keys, we can't really ask for anything better than that really, although slightly surprised they didn't pick up on Jamie's huge Lionel Richie influence but hey-ho?!

recording, gigging, photoshooting and Mums…

The Sons have been busy as usual, rehearsing, tending to our beards and practising our rock pouts but we've also been organising some much needed PROPER things

We've got recording booked in for next weekend so you can have our new tunes in your ears ALL the time; then some more fun gig times the weekend after [30th March, hope to see you there]; and then early April we'll be getting our faces photographed by our very talented photoman friend Mark Arrigo [who helped direct and shoot the video]

Then we'll have a complet EPK to send out and harass people with… SoS style!

BUT before any of this can happen we need to spend some much deserved time with our lovely Mums [Susan] as over here in the UK it is Mothering Sunday YEAH

So while that is all happening don't forget to have another watch of our hairy faces wandering around beaches throwing things at each other!

Awaiting THE EDIT

So whilst we eagerly await the next cut of out first music video we've already started to plan the next… we like to plan ahead!

The usual rock cliches would obviously have to be adhered to so that means we'd need one or all of these things; a big performance piece, sexy rock ladies, more slow-mo walking, fast cars/motorcylces, bar fight scene… the list goes on.

For a bit of inspiration though you can't go far wrong with Kasabian's latest offering. Best car has to be the little red one ENJOY
